MARTIN AMIDU THE COWARD, THE TALKATIVE, AND THE LIAR
I am not a coward or a liar in the terms of the question posed by Michela Wrong in her seminal book on corruption – “It’s Our Turn to Eat.” Like German Reich Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, I am quite happy to be called a coward because my strategic and tactical objectives are beyond their comprehension. Kofi Attor, the Speaker of Parliament’s Chief of Staff, also knows that I am not a liar. As a shot across the bow, Joy FM and Kofi Attor may wish to read the tip of the iceberg reported on: Alban Bagbin admits he is corrupt (audio) - Graphic Online. The evidence has always been in plain view all over the internet.
BAGBIN - NO WITHDRAWAL AND APOLOGY FOR WORDS YOU PUT INTO MARTIN AMIDU’S MOUTH ON BEHALF OF NDC
I wish to state for the avoidance of doubt that Mr. Bagbin shall never have a withdrawal and apology from me for words I never used in my article published in the media on 27 May 2024 which are variously true, justifiable, and constitute fair comments or questions on public matters pertaining to a public officer, the Speaker, in the public interest. By Mr. Bagbin’s statement to all media houses he implicitly admits that he is a self-confessed corrupt person which means that he has no reputation whatsoever that can be defamed by me.
KISSI AGYEBENG - CONFESS TO SUSPECTED CRIMES UNDER YOU AS SP BEFORE LAW CATCHES UP WITH YOU
Kissi Agyebeng is so full of himself, he doesn’t see that by selectively appointing and giving higher ranks to some staff and neglecting others who think they deserve the same or better ranks he has antagonized several of his unlawfully appointed staff. How can he be parading a report which GNAT is contesting as reasons for his indispensability in the fight against corruption in Ghana? Especially when his OSP staff being paid in violation of Article 195 of the 1992 Constitution and Section 21 of Act 959 from the public purse are all ghost workers on the OSP payroll.
NANA AKOMEA - BEWARE QUOTING ME OUT OF CONTEXT FOR SPURIOUS REASONS
The NPP and the NDC should be careful about quoting what I said or wrote in the past out of context to spuriously support allegations of corruption or mismanagement against each other for the purely propaganda purpose of deceiving the electorate for their votes and abandoning them thereafter. I hope that when eventually I determine by a considered examination and analysis of the facts and evidence the most corrupt of the two political parties, they will each accept my verdict without question since I have become their authority on this issue.
OSP DESPERATELY AVOIDING WATERLOO OF UNLAWFUL CECILIA ABENA DAPAAH ARREST
The changing narrative shows that the corrupt and fraudulent William Kissi Agyebeng, the modern day John Ackah Blay-Miezah of our era, has assessed the inevitability of an impending waterloo in the court cases he had brought against Cecilia Abena Dapaah and the human rights and freedoms relief for injunction she brought against him for the infringement of her constitutional rights and is looking for a lifesaving escape through the side door.
OFFICE OF SPECIAL PROSECUTOR IS DISCRIMINATORILY CORRUPT TO CORE
A Special Prosecutor abuses his mandate and commits the very suspected corruption and corruption-related offences he is appointed to fight against when he willfully and intentionally abuses his office for whatever consideration in aid of the cause of close associates by arresting, searching, detaining, and interrogating their opponents in the pretended name of fighting corruption and is discriminatorily corrupt to the core.
BIG BROTHER NANA AKUFO-ADDO: USING AIRBUS POLITICS TO AVOID OWN GARGANTUAN CORRUPTION
Big Brother President Nana Akufo-Addo lied his way to the political office of President of Ghana to fight corruption only to supervise the most perceptually corrupt of all the Governments in Ghana in the Fourth Republic since 7 January 1993. The 1992 Constitution does not empower Big Brother President Nana Akufo-Addo to insist upon an investigation into a paltry 4 million Euros alleged Airbus SE-Ghana suspected corruption when he has pushed under the carpet the Gargantuan Agyapa Royalties Transactions procurement malpractices and corruption detailed in a 64-page report.
REPORT BY OSP INTO ALLEGATIONS OF CORRUPTION INVOLVING CHARLES ADU BOAHEN IS BOGUS AND FRAUDULENT
The Special Prosecutor of the OSP, Kissi Agyebeng’s inability to present the corruption offences suspected to have been committed by Charles Adu Boahen, and Anas Aremeyaw Anas under Sections 239 and 179C of Act 29 were deliberately actuated and influenced by his conflict of interest of which he was conscious.
AL JAZEERA GOLD MAFIA DOCUMENTARY - AKUFO-ADDO REAPS WHAT HE SOWED
The Government’s attempt to escape investigation for suspected corruption arising from the Gold Mafia documentary and confessions of Alistair Mathias, the President’s good friend, through the side door of a purported threat of a defamation action is arbitrary, lacks candor, and constitutes a blatant abuse of the powers of Government under the Constitution. It is too late in the day for the President to be allowed to run away from consequences of his own endorsement of the “Anas Principle” [you may never know that the person you are giving the bribe to or receiving it from may be an undercover agent]. Nana Addo is now reaping what he sowed.
PDF OF PETITION TO KEEPERS OF PUBLIC PURSE ON IRREGULAR APPOINTMENTS
A PDF copy of my letter to the Minister of Finance, the Auditor-General, the Accountant-General, and the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament reproduced above as part of this rejoinder to demonstrate that the Government could not and cannot in the name of fighting corruption have paid any salary to any of the cronies and friends corruptly and unlawfully recruited and promoted by the OSP contrary to the 1992 Constitution. The reason the OSP relied on seconded staff under my tenure is fully explained in my petition to the Chairman of the Public Services Commission.
PDF OF PETITION TO CHAIRMAN OF PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION
A PDF copy of my petition dated 31 August 2022 to the Chairman of the Public Services Commission, reproduced above as part of this rejoinder to demonstrate that the Government could not and cannot in the name of fighting corruption have paid any salary to any of the cronies and friends corruptly and unlawfully recruited and promoted by the OSP contrary to the 1992 Constitution.
REJOINDER: SPECIAL PROSECUTOR YET TO RECEIVE SALARY
We do the public a great disservice when we accuse or indict the Government for not facilitating the fight against corruption when the fault lies squarely with an Office which has gone rogue under a Special Prosecutor who acts corruptly in violation of Article 195 the 1992 Constitution and Section 21 of Act 959. It is only a corrupt OSP that will encourage the media to call the Government a bad name just to hang it when the culprit is the OSP itself. Where is integrity in the fight against corruption? Caesar’s wife must be above suspicion.
PRESIDENT OF GHANA STRAINS GNAT OF CORRUPTION BUT SWALLOWS CAMEL
This examination and analysis of the “Galamsey Economy” documentary provide citizens with the materials to see beyond the stunts and swindles that the Presidency, and Anas Aremeyaw Anas with his Tiger Eye PI, tried to pull over the public, and reveals the motives of political self-interest underpinning each stunt and hoax undertaken by them. Citizens are also provided with the materials with which to have the courage to defend and protect the 1992 Constitution from scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, like the President and the Vice President who lied their way to the Presidency only to strain a gnat but swallow a camel.
NANA AKUFO-ADDO’S E-LEVY BILL
The arrest and detention of Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the Convenor of #FixTheCountry, and the bail facilitation for Mr. Kwame Baffoe, the powerful Bono Regional Chairman of the governing political party, demonstrates the partiality with which the fundamental human rights and freedoms guaranteed to citizens might through the exercise of the investigatory and prosecutorial discretion in the system of criminal justice administration at the level of the executive branch of government has been wittingly or unwittingly abused in the matter of the “Kyei Mensah-Bonsu’s E-Levy cake for his 65th birthday” contrary to article 3(2) of the 1992 Constitution…
NANA AKUFO-ADDO’S DICTATORSHIP
President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Family and Friends’ Government have no legal or constitutional basis for subjecting the people of Ghana to the on-going dehumanizing and undignified re-registration SIM card exercise. The decision, therefore, by a bi-partisan group of patriotic citizens calling upon Ghanaians to stand up for their rights by boycotting the use of their telephones on specified days and periods is not only a breath of fresh air under the oppressive Nana Akufo-Addo regime but also welcomed as the beginning of popular action to defend the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed to citizens under the 1992 Constitution.
IGNORE THE FACE SAVING AND DELUSIONS
The Agyapa Royalties Transaction Agreements submitted by the Government of Ghana’s self-anointed Anti-corruption Moses, President Nana Akufo-Addo, to the 7th Parliament of Ghana on 13/08/2020 and hurriedly approved by a Resolution the next day, 14/08/2020 intended as an annuity in perpetuity for the benefit of Our Moses’ Family and Friends died with the Special Prosecutor’s Agyapa Anti-Corruption Assessment Report dated 15/10/2020 and was buried forever with the termination of the tenure of the 7th Parliament on 6/01/2021. And it is already a year today since I resigned as the Special Prosecutor in protest on account of that grand suspected corruption.
AKUFO-ADDO’S SPUTNIK V, AGYAPA & OTHER AFFAIRS
From my experience working with President Akufo-Addo I can bet my last pesewa that the report of the adhoc parliamentary committee on the Sputnik V – Covid-19 vaccine procurement was just a smokescreen behind which to exonerate and whitewash all the suspected unconstitutionalities and illegalities committed by the Government in the procurement contract and payment for the vaccines. Ghanaians must be hallucinating to think that the Minister of Health, whom I have known since our Commonwealth Hall days in the 1970s, would have had the temerity to have executed the Sputnik Covid-19 procurement contract without executive approval by the Mother of the Government.
ALLEGATIONS OF BRIBERY OF GHANAIAN OFFICIALS IN AIRCRAFT DEAL
On Monday, 3rd February 2020, the Office of the Special Prosecutor received from the Secretary to the President a letter referring allegations of bribery of Ghanaian Officials in the aircraft deal, as disclosed in litigation taking place in the UK and USA. The Special Prosecutor has determined that the said referral and deferred prosecution agreements and judgments accompanying them raise reasonable suspicion of the commission of corruption and corruption-related offences of bribery of public officers and the use of public office by public officers for private profit. A preliminary investigation has accordingly been opened. The Office of the Special Prosecutor appeals to the public not to speculate or politicize the disclosures so as to allow this Office to treat these as suspected crimes simpliciter, pending the conclusion of the investigation.
THE OBLIGATION TO RETURN SUSPICIOUS PAYMENTS
All citizens and public officeholders should know their obligations concerning banking transactions. I am sharing my most recent experience in this matter with the public as part of my prevention of corruption duty to let citizens know that the responsibility is upon citizens to instruct their bankers to return suspicious payments of public funds into their accounts. A Bank is under penal statutory responsibility to report suspicious transactions to the appropriate agency of Government and the customer is under a banking responsibility to call the Bank’s attention as soon as he notices any suspicious transactions or payment into his account or to give the Bank such standing instructions as will protect the account holder.
MARTIN AMIDU’S ANSWERS TO THE CEO OF THE DUMMY TIGER EYE
My intention is to stand up for principles underpinning the Constitution which every citizen is enjoined to defend and not to attack any individual personally that is why I have avoided mentioning people by name in my latest articles where I can avoid it. I insist that it is unconstitutional for this Government to use any covert agent for operations against citizens to hide its Gargantuan political corruption like Nerquaye-Tetteh’s golden handshake of GH₵400,000
