WATCH MARTIN AMIDU’S VIDEO MESSAGE TO FELLOW GHANAIANS FOR ELECTION 2024
FELLOW GHANIANS, USE YOUR CRITICAL VOTE ON 7 DECEMBER 2024 TO HOLD THE GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABLE AND TO PRESERVE OUR CONSTITUTION.
BY MARTIN A. B. K. AMIDU
Fellow Ghanaian Citizens, I normally do not speak in public - as you know, I prefer to write. But today, 7 December 2024, is an important day in our country. Election 2024 marks a critical point in our constitutional history. Today you choose your new president. Now we all know in 2016, Nana Akufo-Addo and his running mate Bawumia came to us as messiahs and redeemers. They promised to save us from corruption. We watched as they too became a government of family, friends and cronies, all out to create, loot and share the public purse. Is it not time to use our common sense as voters. Take heed of what has happened these past eight years and see how our Constitution is in peril. Governments must be held accountable, and your vote serves as a way to audit their performance. Hear me speak on why Ghana’s people need to use their vote wisely in 2024 to preserve our constitution.
